eclaration on accessibility in plain language

Accessibility on the Internet means: Everyone should be able to use the Internet. The law states that there must be no barriers.

An example: people with visual impairments cannot read a website. They also cannot recognize the images on a website. That is why images on websites need alternative texts. Alternative texts are image descriptions. Read-aloud programs can read these image descriptions aloud. This tells people with visual impairments: What can be seen in the images?

You can use the website with different devices: Computer, tablet, cell phone. This means that the menu items and information are displayed correctly. No matter how big the screen is.

There is still some content on our website that is not barrier-free. For example:
* The font is sometimes not large enough.
* Image descriptions are not available for all images.
* The font is not easy to read everywhere on certain colors.
* Not all information can be found using the keyboard instead of the mouse.
* Read-aloud programs cannot find and read out all content.

This is why our website is currently partially accessible.

We want to further improve our website. To make the whole website as accessible as possible. For example:
* make the font larger
* insert image descriptions for all images
